A very important and superb silvered bronze cats clock circa 1930. Two silvered bronze cats on each side of the clock, surmonted by a silvered bronze pair of birds. Stylized Art Deco silvered bronze dial, gilded clock hands. Two original pendants in marble and bronze. A rare cubist clock, unsigned, but certainly designed by a great Art Deco sculptor. Ancient cast. L : 24" H : 11" W : 4.3" Pendants: H : 8.6" W : 4.3" Original movement that works, but plan a revision. Very good condition. -

The pellets of glass attached to each side are delicatelly wheel-engraved to look like the shells of the mollucks which they get their name. The limpet shells are also purple-black.
