Description
Paul Philppe born in Berlin. He studied in Paris under Antonin Larroux.
He executed a number of figures in various combinations of materials, bronze, bronze and ivory, marble, bronze and marble. His pre-war designs are naturalistic, the bronze treated in traditionnal sculptural fashion, and patinated ,his sculptures very similar in look and style to those of Claire Colinet, famous Belgian sculptor
His post-war designs are stylised, the clothes theatrical and somewhat geometric. His work is very sought nowadays
