It represents a woman in the antique style, a child on one arm, each holding a chalice.
The woman with an amphora on her shoulder.
Bronze base with grape vine leaves in relief.
Green and bronze patina.
Signed Le Faguays, foundry seal ” Susse Frères Editeurs Paris ”
Round stamp surrounded by the letters S and V.
Ancient cast.

Description

Pierre Le Faguays is a French sculptor born in 1892.
He studied under J Vibert. He exhibits in many ” Salons Parisiens ” during the 20’s.
He works different materials as bronze, bronze and ivory,metal, terra-cotta.
Pierre Le Faguays is one of the most important sculptor of the Art Deco period.
His work egal those of the better known specialist, as demeter Chiparus.
