Description

Pierre Le Faguays is a French sculptor born in Nantes in 1892. He studied under James Vibert. He first exhibited at the ” Salon de la Société des Artistes Français ” in 1922. He became a leading member of the ” La Stéle-Evolution ” group, and exhibited frequently with them, in particular at the 1925 ” Exposition des Arts décoratifs et Industriels “. He executed a number of decorative sculptures in bronze, bronze and ivory, or terra cotta. He also designed a number of figural almps in bronze, with glass, alabaster or other material. He also works in collaboration with some members of the ” Evolution ” group as Sibylle May or Edouard Cazaux. His work, very rich and complete, is very appreciated and sought after nowadays
