A very rare and superb Art Deco bronze sculpture by Demeter Chiparus circa 1930.

Gilt and silvered patina, traces of red enameling on the skirt

Raised on a sharped brown onyx base.

Signed Chiparus on the base, and Foundry stamp LNJL (Les Neveux de Jacques Lehman ) under the base and LNJL 4 on a foot

H     :     20.4″

Important sculpture of the Art Deco period, it’s much rare and hard to find of this size

Very good original condition ( minor ships on the onyx base )

Demeter H Chiparus is the most sought-after sculptor of Art Deco statuary. His works are highly rated on the art market.

The inspiration for this study was the dancer Tera Guinob who performed in the revue ” Spirit of Paris ” at the ” Théâtre de la Madeleine ” in 1924
