Christofle launches the ” Formes Nouvelles “collection in 1957, an avant-garde collection bringing together the creations of Gio Ponti, Tapio Wirkkala and Lino Sabattini; Christofle published the catalog entitled ” Formes Nouvelles ” in 1959, the great majority of objects presented are due to Lino Sabattini.

Lino Sabattini is an Italian goldsmith, a pupil of Gio Ponti. He’s one of the greatest italian designer of th XX° century. He is director of the Christofle’s creative workshop in Milan from 1956 to 1963. he draw , in particular, a large part of the ” Formes Nouvelles ” line of which the ” Como ” set, very sought after and appreciated by collectors
