Brown patina for the woman, blue and white patina for the fan.
On a stepped Portoro marble base.
Signed Bouraine on the base and Etling France Foundry

Sculpture very hard to find, in the largest size , with an original superb condition

Description

Marcel André Bouraine born in Pontoise ( France), studied under Aléxandre Falguière.
He exhibited in Paris during the 30’S.
In 1928, Gabriel Argy-Rousseau commissioned a number of figures from Bouraine, mostly female nudes, all which were executed in pâte de verre.
His sculptures are often realist, with a very high quality of work.
His work is always sought-after, nowadays.
