A superb bronze sculpture by Joe Descomps circa 1925.

It represents an oriental dancer with a tamburine.
Nice original polychrome patina, enamel highlights on the dress and the necklace.
Signed Descomps on the bronze base.
Ancient cast.

Description

Joe Descomps ( 1869-1950 ) was born in Clermont-Ferrand.
He exhibited regurarly in different ” Salons Parisiens ” between 1893 and 1900.
In the 20-30’s, he concentrated more on small scale sculptures, mostly in bronze or bronze and ivory.
