A very nice bronze sculpture by Aurore Onu circa 1930.
Dark reen and brown patina, on a rectangular ” Vert du Nil” marble plinth.
Signed Aurore Onu on the base, foundry stamp ” LNJL Paris “,( Les Neveux de J Lehmann Paris ),under the base.
Ancient cast.

Good condition ( manufacturing joint apparent on the right arm )
Aurore Onu born in Bucharest, she moved to Paris in the 20’s.
She became the companion of Marcel Bouraine.
She executed a number of sculptures in bronze as well as in bronze and ivory, in the clear-cut style of Pierre Le Faguays or Marcel Bouraine.
