A very rare and superb Art Deco sculpture by Armand Godard circa 1930

Depicting a female dancer wearing an elaborate bodice and head dress and an ankle length skirt.

Nice old silver patina, green and gold for the bodice, the hair dress and the skirt

On an architectural Portoro marble base

Signed Godard and Etling Paris on the marble

Description

Armand Godard is a French sculptor from the Art Deco era. He execute sculptures in bronze or bronze and ivory. He executed a massive sculpture, 450 cm high, in patinated plaster for the 1937 Paris exhibition . His work, of very high quality, of great fineness, is very sough-after collectors
